Peggy Beasley-Rogers

“My husband (Chef Rameux) died in September of 2008. Our daughter was married in May. Her daddy walked her down the aisle and then in September, he died…  We knew he was going to die. He had been very ill. One of the things he would always say was, “Laissez toi….” Let the good times roll in French… He told us he wanted us to have a big party. So we had the memorial service on the front steps and afterwards we threw a party in the back. Neighbors brought all kinds of Cajun cooking that he had taught them to make…”

Peggy lives at 800 North Bloodworth Street.
